No to both. Most adults have assets. I don't want to hand them over to some loudmouth after I deservedly stomp a mudhole in his backside.
Two recent instances:
Two geezers at a local movie theater. $1.00 admission on Wednesday matinee for seniors. Geezers are arguing about postion in line. Geezer 1 punches geezer 2 in the kisser after geezer 2 insults geezer 1's wife. Geezer 2 falls back, hits head on curb, dies instantly. Geezer 1 prosecuted criminally & civilly. I'll bet most, if not all of his assets (and his grandkids inheritence) went to legal fees.
My buddy was at a bar chatting up some babe. Babe had a boyfriend. Boyfriend popped my buddy in the nose unprovoked. My buddy hires an attorney, files suit. Azzwipes homeowner's liability limit? $100k. Thank you, says my buddy, laughing all the way to the bank.
