when i was in high school i didn't fight because i would've lost a LOT. in college i had no reason to fight. didn't spend any time around folks with fighting attitudes.
as an adult with something to lose i would probably RUN from a fight. as has been said i don't want to be somebody's jackpot.

So...you run from a fight, but not fast enough, and get your nose plastered all over your face. Fight was started only because you talked to some girl sitting at a bar. You didn't touch her, you didn't insult her, just talked to her (not knowing she had a boyfriend). Boyfriend walks up, suckers punches you, smashes said nose, and that's it? You run away? No lawsuit, no retaliation, nothing?
