One thing that I thought of right away on this thread is that we have members who are 20 years old, which is a lot different from 50 or 60 when it comes to getting in fights. Even if you are the fighting type, (most people aren't), you will likely do most of it when you are relatively young.
The vast majority of people on earth have never hit another person, ever. (Other than childhood/brother/sister stuff). These people are either non-violent or afraid of that type of violence, or both. And there is nothing necessarily wrong with this. Getting in physical scraps is generally not a good thing, but there is a certain freedom in knowing that you will be OK in them and not afraid. There are some seriously tough people out there, and I can spot them from a mile away. Most aggressive types are phonies and cowards, though. I hate bullies and A-holes so much that when I meet one, I light up like a torch. 9 times out of ten, they will not push it to the point of violence because they are cowards and if nothing else do not want their tough-guy reps destroyed in an instant. The few that were unhinged enough to take a swing at me have all lost so far in adulthood. No, I am not some ultra tough-guy, it's just that most people cannot fight. That's the bottom line.
