Despite having not been in a fight for many, many years, I do tend to come across as someone who won't be badgered and that has perhaps helped me avoid trouble. A few years ago when I was parallel parking, a smaller car jumped into the spot. I had my signal and reverse lights on and was there long before the other guy. I jumped out and walked briskly up to his window. That alone got him to out his hands up and say "Take it easy! I'm leaving."
