Rick, That's funny.
I am hispanic and about ten years ago when I was more trim than I am now and I wore a mustache I got mistaken for a cop all the time. Once I was hassled by a parking attendant as I was leaving a hotel seminar. I was in my car at the little parking kiosk and I opend my door abruptly, stood up quickly and reached into my left rear pocket (for my wallet) as I was moving toward the kiosk with my upset obviously in my face.
The eyes of the smallish Asian man in the booth opened WIDE, his hands went up and he said, "No shoot, no shoot". I didn't understand what he was saying but immediately came out with my wallet and his whole manner changed. He smiled and kinda giggled. He said, "I thought you police, you shoot. My country police shoot". I apologized for frightening him but I'm not sure he understood.
Later, after kinda laughing about it I thought, "Dan, you dum$hit, he might have shot YOU thinking you were going to shoot him". I've worked on getting a handle on my moods and my demeanor when upset. I squelch it if at all possible. Which mostly works - 98% of the time...until it doesn't and then I REALLY look P.O.'d.
