3 pounds/HP is a significant difference - in fact, the current 911 turbo and GT3 RS come out at 7.27 and 7.30 pounds/HP respectively, compared to the base Carerra @ 9.46. Based on those figures, the Cayenne S would be comparable with an early 80's SC making ~210 HP and weighing 2700 pounds.
* According to a Yahoo! spec for the 2008 model - Porsche don't quote the curb weight for it.

Are you sure you have your weights correct? I was under the impression the 997S weighs in at over 3200 pounds.
I have had my 04 CTT against a Carrera S and it did pull from the 997S from 60-130 5 out of 5 times. It wasn't a significant amount but enough. I would say from 0-100 it would be close.
