your story was that your buddy was sucker punched. that is ENTIRELY different from getting run down and beaten. criminal charges would do plenty of damage to the guy. doing more than that is not teaching a lesson, it's cashing in your lottery ticket at the expense of other people (we ALL pay for insurance).
