That said, I understand Euro manufacturers tend to quote to a standard (DIN? SAE?), so their weights are wet, with a few gallons in the tank.

Magazine road tests are probably "real life", all fluids, with a full tank, maybe some luggage.

Some manufacturers might quote dry weight (or just outright lie).
