Matt, congrats on your new porsche. I am looking to Import one into Canada too, and I've done all my homework, but I'm having trouble finding the answers to 2 questions.

They are: What is the rate of duty that you pay when importing the car into Canada? If a car was Made in the USA (GM or Ford for example) you wont have to pay this duty, But usually with European made cars you have to pay a 6 or 7 percent duty along with the tax you pay at the border. Did you have to pay the duty, and if so, what was the rate?

Also, Canadian requirements are that the car have a 5mph bumper. Most US cars dont meet this and therefore need to be modified, which can cost alot of $$. Do you know if a 2000 Porsche 911 or a 1998 Porsche Boxster would need these modifications?

Thanks
Kelly
