I am thinking of buying my wife a new watch as her gift for delivering our daughter.

She has a Tag which is about 15 years old by now, it is stainless with some bronze looking accents, the clasp doesn't work well, etc.

I was looking at the mall yesterday and looked at Tags, Movados, etc. Nothing really knocked my socks off. I did like the women's Tags with diamonds in the bezel, but there is no way I am paying 3 grand for a watch, she would never wear it.

Budget is something less than 1k, I want a functional watch she can wear everyday, good quality, but also can be dressed up sometimes too.

Suggestions?
