A dress watch? Something in the sports watch line for day to day wear?

Both totally different...just asked Cindy. For everyday, she wears a rugged sports watch. For dress, she brings her 1957 diamond decorated (diamonds on both the watch and the gold strap band) Hamilton that she inherited from her mother. When we got it, the band and clasp were broken. Luckily we found a good goldsmith to repair the band, and make replacement links, then to a good watch service guy who refinished the face, cleaned and oiled. It's an amazingly accurate wind-up movement.

Just getting this one fixed up was close to your budget...and I have no idea it's worth. The inscription on the back, from Cindy's dad to her mom, made the repair cost not matter.

None listed here match Cindy's, but you might consider a lady's antique dress watch, then buy something more rugged for day-to-day wear?
