Mystery electrical connection

Have a 1982 928 and I was working under the hood last night and noticed an electrical harness which is not connected to anything. It runs inside the engine compartment along the top left (from driver's side) just underneath the fender joint. Originates from the main wiring harness exiting the firewall near the brake master cylinder. Runs approximately to the area just above the power steering fluid tank. It is an original Porsche harness and is covered with insulation so I can't see the wire colors without opening/hacking up the harness. Terminated with one of the rectangular shaped connectors and within the connector are three electrical connection points. From here it is not connected to anything and I have not been able to find a corresponding wire or connecter it may have been attached to at some previous time. Anyone have an '82 that they could peek at and see if the harness is connected to anything? Thanks in advance, Ernie.
