She worked at a local Mcdonalds for spending money during the summer (I was 17, she was 16). I was supposed to go to her uncle's family 4th of July get-together. I just did not want to go and a buddy and his girlfriend and her good looking best friend wanted me to go with them to a 4th of July party with lots of booze etc. I was supposed to meet my girlfriend at McDonalds when she got off work to go to her uncle's. Instead I went with my friend and we stopped at Mcdonalds to get some pop to mix with our bottle of rum and I handed her her class ring as I paid for the pop and told her we were thru. I guess I thought a night out drinking with my friend and a hot chick outweighed my girlfriend. Go figure... In hindsight, it was a good move!
