Could it be my fuel pump?

Hello Everyone!

I have a '78 911SC (30K miles). Anyway, I successfully changed my plugs and wire-set over the weekend. Started and ran perfect! Whoohoo...

Turned it over the next morning; it tried to spin-up (1st try) but didn't quite catch. Thereafter, I kept cranking...no go! Left'er in the garage. Bummer!

I noticed I didn't hear the normal fuel pump buzzing gurgling sounds (at least I didn't think I did...). Thus I'm thinking it may be the fuel pump, the related fuse, or relay...

How can I test to see if this is my problem? Strange that this would happen directly after the plug/wire change... Any relationships there? Also, whats the expeted life-span of a fuel pump?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Tom
