"Justice system" is a huge misnomer. Our legal system has little to do with justice. I mean, the SCOTUS is actually about to take a case on whether lethal injection violates the 8th Amendment. Do you know what was cruel and unusual when the Bill of Rights was crafted? The only thing cruel about lethal injection is to the victim's family, who can't see the perp stretched out on a rack and tortured in a way commensurate with his crime. Instead, he gets euthanized like a family pet. I think spammer deserve harsh punishment and will take whatever modicum of justice we can still get, whenever we can get it. Violent criminals deserve harsh punishment no less. And that's why our system has little to do with justice. Oh, if I were king for a day....
