Yeah, they can work loose. The connections aren't that great to begin with. I use a dielectric grease used for transformers on my connections. I also found that just because you can hear a relay click it doesn't mean it's good. My horn didn't work and it was the relay even though I could hear it clicking when I pressed the horn button. Bad contacts in the relay.
