(11) The moment I had set my eyes on a 993 in 1995 I fell in love with its beautiful lines. I really played with the idea of buying one but after driving a 993 coupe I was concerned about its power potential. Don’t get me wrong, the car felt and performed beautifully, it’s just that I was not crazy about its short gear ratio of its six speed transmission and I had been spoiled by the raw power delivery of several 930 turbos I have had before. Then came the 993 Twin Turbo in 1996 which met and exceeded all my design and performance expectations. It was even curvier and more masculine closer to the 930 turbo and it had a 400 HP twin turbo engine to die for. I was hooked and sold and had to have one. There was only one major problem: at $120.000 I could not afford one. Even if I could have afforded one I could not have gotten one because they were all back ordered or I would have had to pay a hefty premium over sticker to get one.
