All of my Austrian friends say "Nine Eleven" to me because they know my German is terrible. Actually, one of them drives a Buick around Vienna so what does he know!?
"Neun Elf" is probably the most common way of saying Nine Eleven, because I think "Neun Hundert Elf" is a little too awkward, even for German.
I think they are also nicknamed "Elfens" or "Elfers" (can't remember) in Germany.
