It won't be long before some on this board will chime in with some variation of she had it coming or she got what she deserved. The police have a special relationship where they have a duty to protect the public, including the people they arrest, even at risk to themselves. Some aparently have forgotten that and are willing to deal leathally with anyone who is a hypothetical threat to them.

Anyone here ever read the Orwell short story "The Elephant"? Seems appropriate here.
