porsche powered crewcab

First time I noticed this Tech sight. I have a '68 crewcab w/2.4 E carburetored motor w/915 tranny. A very tight fit. Also had a '57 chop top/rag top bug w/2110 cc motor and 901/5 speed trans. I bought the bug already built so can't help with any tranny installation info. My goal for the crewcab was to have the conversion look like a factory job. As few modifications to the engine and tranny as possible to get it to fit. The only thing we ended up altering was the rear eng. mount. The truck weighs 2500 lbs., about the same as '73 911's, so the performance is pretty good. It is an "E" motor but someone put in "T" p&c so I figure the h..p. is around 160. Sometime next year I'll go through the motor and get the h.p. to around 200 - 225.
