Before buying my most loved car, my '83 911 SC, I drove Beetles. I've owned 63/67/71/72. Volkswagen turned its back on classic VW owners and VWOA has had a reputation of being the lowest in customer service in the US. I hope that Porsche's ownership turns that around; however unlikely. It's probably a distraction at best to the company.
