350 TBI Timing

Has anyone ever messed with one? What I've gotten myself into is building a 350 motor up with a hotter cam. Why the owner didn't want to do more is beyond me, but it's his money, not mine. Anyway, from what I know the cam requires the timing to be 27 degrees BTDC, which I should be able to accomplish with a timing light after I get the motor to TDC.

My question is what to do with the timing advance on the distributor. Do I have to fudge with the ECU? I've read some on the subject, but haven't run across any information that really nuts everything down like Pelican does with a Porsche. It's a 3/4 ton 1988 4x4 Suburban TBI 350.

Thanks
