I agree 100%. The first part of my post was simply a preface, stating the obvious fact that each school is (and should) have the right to determine whether or not teachers can carry guns. Just as parents should have the right to put their kids in a different school if they don't like the decision made.
That being said, the more I think about it, the more I like the armed security monitor idea. That way, you can have somebody trained and stable on hand.
