How can she claim to love you & not allow you to continue your hobbies?

I'm reminded of a story I heard very recently:
A fellow is engaged, and his ball & chain to be tells him he has to get rid of his motorcycle or she won't marry him. He "sells" the bike to a buddy, and has it returned to him after the wedding.

Seriously, if she's concerned about the time & money you have to continue to invest in the car, do you have the option of driving the car less?

Also, in my experience so far, a 911 didn't really cost more to maintain than a Lexus or Infinity, and was actually less than an M-B, BMW, or Jag.
