Nope, wouldn't do it.
There was a time when my wife suggested that we could sell the Pcar in order to buy a property we really wanted and I was brainstorming how to get the funds to complete the offer.
I told her straight out.....
"we will be living in a tent with the Porsche parked outside it." Not that I disrespect my wife, I don't. I respect her more than most husbands and she is one happy lady.
My solution.... give her money $$$$
For every dollar I spend on my toys, she gets an equal dollar to spend as she wishes. We've been doing this for 20 years. She buys furniture, clothes and stuff for the kids. She even gives her money away often to the needy; but its her money to do as she pleases.
The last purchase almost killed me........ a
993TT in my stable. When I told her I was buying it, she didn't raise one single question or concern. She just replied, "
Oh good, I can go and buy that new furniture I wanted and I think I'm going to renovate the kitchen with brand new cupboards and counters." I still bought the car!!!
Call me stupid; but we've only got one life to live.
I have managed to purchase two brand new boats though and got it under the line that they were for "the Family" and not my personal toys!!!
