There are no average couples in terms of mutual understanding and empathy. Only you will know what will hold water in your relationship. Personally I belong to the poor schmucks thatīs done that and been there. Looking back I agree with many of the posts above.
In situations like this I always see Frank Zappa before me, singing: "Womenīs liberation came creeping all across the nation..."
Then I go on pondering the suspicion that I am merely a resource. No more, no less. In a biological Darwinist sense that is actually the case.
