I bought a set of track wheels recently and I was told in no uncertain terms DON'T store them in the garage over winter. The cold is bad for the rubber. Of course, that begs the questions as to the rubber on the wheels mounted on the car, but still, I'll be bringing them down to the basement for winter storage.
