What influences your thinking?
Reading many of the posts here it appears that some of us are influenced greatly by the way we were raised: If our parents (and close friends & influential relatives & others) were Republicans, we tend to be Republicans. If we were raised in a Democraic environment, we tend to be more Democratic (even read progressive or liberal if you so wish) in our views.
Would you agree with this assessment or am I completely off base here? And, if "off base", what events or experiences molded your political (or other) outlooks?
Just thought this would be an interesting way of "educating" each other!!
