Since I have so much time and money invested in my car Im thinking of converting it to a 951. I have a friend who's dad is in the salvage car business and can pick me up a 951 for very cheap. I also must state that I do all my own labor and have done multiple motors in my current car. This would be another motor rebuild to add to my resume So here is the question. What else besides the stuff below do I need to be thinking about when/if I do this. I know its going to be a lot of work but I'd rather put in time than $$.
Parts needed from 951
Full motor
Trans
Intercooler
DME & KLR
Wiring harness
Brakes (including hubs and spindles)
Parts not sure if I need to change
Torque Tube
Rear Axles
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

You are on the right track so far. The TT is the same, and the CV's are the same as an NA but the 951 axles are heavier. You might want to source a 951 nose piece, headlight covers, and radiator, since the IC will not fit in the NA opening. Obviously you will need larger sways and the turbo front coils are a bit longer than the NA to compensate for the weight. Don't forget exhaust if you are picking up a parts car. Good luck on the project.
