My Wayne story
I just googled Wayne Krieger because I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to go after this guy, and found this thread. Pretty interesting. About 4 1/2 years ago I had a '65 911 that i wanted to get rid of, had it on Craigslist, and somehow got in contact with Wayne who said he could sell it. Fine, get it out of my garage. The initial buyer didn't work out... a year goes by, then two. I would call occationally so he wouldn't foget, but he did. Anyways, he says he has a 912 that he'll trade. Realizing I wasn't going to get any money out of the guy, I agree, over the phone. A couple more years go by and I call him up to say the deal's off, give me the '65 back. "Well, that car was scraped a couple of years ago." ...really... we'll you better pay me or give me the 912. "I can't pay you because my wife has cancer and that's taken all of our money. The 912 is in storage, and I can't pay the bill to get it out."
So that's where I am now. I'm exploring different avenues in how to approach this. I'll let you guys know.
