Poor taste

David. That was in poor taste. So the exact Lotus call out was not correct... excuse us. They basically all look the same at the time of the S4S up to the V8 turbo. Only the descriminating Lotus people can point out the differences. Just as Porsche 944 guys can quickly tell you a 944 from a turbo from an S2 and such.

As far as the cyclone beating the Lotus. Hello have you read any of the reports on the cyclone? Guess not. 0-60 in 4.5 sec. with no more effort than putting your foot to the floor and steering. The test Car and Driver did was against a Ferrari 348, as I recall, and the cyclone held it off to the quarter mile.... at which time the Ferrari went screaming by... but the Cyclone won the race to the mark. I can get the exact quote from the article if you like. (Fact.)

I also said this particular cyclone was modified. And it won the race. As far as the SHO goes. Sorry again. I have no reason to lie about the performance. I said I held on to him through the traffic and he blew past me many times. I do not believe I ever claimed to have passed him in the open or in a turn.

I have driven many Fast cars, 928 S4, 944 turbo S, Ferrari Testarossa, Ferrari 328 GTS, 911 Carrera, 911 Carrara 4, along with many others.... I have taken high performance driver training and I know how to drive fast and now that I am a bit older... know when it is stupid to do so. Anyway I did not lie about the race. Wife was there and she can testify in my behalf. We stuck with him some of the time, past him when he let me and then raced through traffic multiple times with me all over him. Like I said he was not a very good driver. When he changed lanes he put much to much effort into the action... you know... when you see some one change lanes and instead of a smooth transition the car goes over and then jerks back to set the car into the lane. I am not saying that all Lotus drivers are like this.... but this guy was. Just the facts.

Eric
