Thanks John. We swapped motors between a 73.5 and a 74. I am going to ask the mechanic tomorrow when I can see him if we swapped consoles too. I am pretty sure we did as I had an MSD on the other one and this one shows no signs of that.
But before I waste any more of your or anyone else's time, let me check.
DO you happen to know what the factory might have called the wur in the earliest CIS days (ie on the 73.5?)
My schematic shows no such animal but does show a speed switch (?), an electromagnetic control valve (might this be the wur?), a lifting magnet (aka a solenoid?), a time temperature time switch (which I assume we know as the thermo time) and a microswitch (which I think is the small switch at the left end of the CIS unit probably triggering the cold start valve.)
