You'd have to go through customs and security to get back and, unlike here in the US, the Germans take their airport security VERY seriously. I haven't been to the Munich airport since they moved it from Trudering. I'm sure there are some places to drink inside the departure area.

I was trying to find anyone who would meet at the airport. Not planning on leaving the terminal. Although I tried really hard to get the flight routed through Stuttgart....
