i gave up, and got a cat, it has furr, is demanding, tries to boss me around
every once in a while, if it rains, i got wet pussy walking through my house

same result, but much, much cheaper

if i get fed up with the nagging, i hose it down... more wet pussy
it doesn't call me at work
it doesn't call me when i stay out late
doesn't ask me if i think it's butt is to big, if i'm cheating on it, no in-laws, valentines day, anniversary day, none of that ****

i got it a gravity bulk feeder, i fill it once a month with dry food, done
it does leave dead animals on my porch, but i think it's ok that it has a hobby, so i positively reinforce that...

all in all , i lost more of the drawbacks compared to the few positives i miss out...
