Indeed! If you go home drunk and smack your 'ho up, you'd need bail to get out of the pokey.

SEATTLE -- Seattle City Councilman Richard McIver pleaded not guilty today to a charge of 4th degree assault - domestic violence.
He will return to work tomorrow.
He was arrested early last Wednesday after his wife called 911 and told police he had grabbed her neck in a drunken tirade.
McIver has been a member of the City Council since 1997 when he was appointed to fill the vacancy created when John Manning resigned under domestic violence allegations.
McIver, 66, made his first court appearance after two nights in jail over allegations he repeatedly grabbed his wife by the throat and arm during a drunken dispute in their South Seattle home early Wednesday.
McIver, who was allowed to appear in court without handcuffs and in a gray pinstripe suit, was released on personal recognizance under conditions that he abides by a court order barring contact between him and his wife, he refrain from alcohol and he surrender his concealed weapons permit and personal firearms.
