This is a good word to the wise. With the economy slowing down and the construction industry in the dumpster, there are a lot of builders who don't have enough money to cover their obligations. It is one of the oldest scams in the book for a contractor to run up a bill with a sub or supplier and either skip out on it or "renegotiate" the charges on the grounds that something is better than nothing. People who wouldn't normally do this get desperate as they start fearing for their livelyhood.
