I sent a message last week asking Wayne if I could advertise our facility and make a special offer to Pelicans. He sent a PM back very quickly (especially for a guy with a great new toy!) saying to go ahead and post it up. I am pretty active on this board and while I would like to be more active with working on my Porsche this business is a dream for my wife. She has done a n excellent job of designing a great training studio. We are in our first two months of operation and I wanted to offer something to the community that has done so much to support me.
For the past eight years my wife has been an exercise physiologist. She has interned for a major league baseball team, lectured for the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and operated her own fitness business. She has worked for several large gyms over the past few years learning the good and bad of the fitness industry. Two years ago she put a plan into motion to open a different kind of fitness facility.

You might wonder what the difference is between an exercise physiologist and a personal trainer. An exercise physiologist is board certified through the the American Society of Exercise Physiologists, usually with at least a bachelor's degree and nationally accredited fitness certifications.
Some of the larger chain fitness facilities have a wide range of personal trainers. You may get someone highly educated with a degree and a collection of certifications or you may get someone who completed a 4 week course on how to train people. While the latter will work OK if you are just wanting someone to follow you around the gym floor it's not the most effective way to spend your money or time.
Bonne Vie's vision is to provide a high level of personal training that is accessible to a wide range of people. We are not membership based, meaning we do not charge a monthly membership fee. Bonne Vie believes in retaining clients by keeping them happy, not by locking them into impossible to cancel contracts.
We specialize uniquely in weight loss through our PHAT program (physical harmony and transformation) they work with a trainer who is an expert in working with people with a lot of weight to lose, where normal movement patterns might be difficult. We also specialize in post-rehabilitation... meaning we work with your physical therapist, or physician, to maximize recovery, range of motion and function. We have a sports conditioning specialist to help to you ,or more importantly, your kids accelerate to the next competitive level.
All of our personal trainers have at least a bachelor's degree and experience in the fitness industry. The idea is not to make an "exclusive" facility but to make it a place where clients can get effective personal health and wellness. We offer a variety of training and discount packages. Many of the packages are in development so if you have suggestions please let us know.
We offer in home, and outdoor training. Bonne Vie will never turn someone away due to expense, we have many programs for people of all economic standings to participate.
Bonne Vie is also the only Pilates studio in Aliso Viejo. We have Pilates mat classes, reformer classes, and private cadillac reformer sessions.

GTS stands for Gravity Training System. It is similar to the system you have seen advertised on television. This machine is made by the same company but is a more sturdy industrial version.
If you have a Total Gym at home this is an opportunity to come in and get a free training session from one of our instructors on the most efficient work out for your machine. Our instructors are certified by the manufacturer on proper exercise for the GTS.
