Oh, the RA-1s are most definitely going in the basement. The racks are for my street/snow tires (depending on the season) for our daily drivers.

Thanks, I have a set I need to refinish so I can have two and need a better way to store them.
For in the garage, I always liked a pulley setup that my brother made. Raised and lowered a platform he made, had a little frame he Macgyvered together for the ropes to go through that made it so it was not tippy, you could hang from the end of it and it stayed flat.
I think if tires get too cold it does something bad to the rubber, sort of like if they get too hot they melt.
I have a metal shed out back to store garden stuff, attic space over garage and house for everything else. If I get to where I have too many cars I will rent extra space, but that is down the road a bit.
