Yes, you need both slotted and Allen wrenches. The slotted adjustment screw is inside the body of the pump, and an Allen bolt serves as a cap/plug over the screw. You should carefully clean all the way around the Allen bolt before loosening it -- to make sure any dirt or gunk will not be knocked into the pump when inserting the adjustment screwdriver blade!!!
