Wanted to update the add with the specs on this engine:
Type 1 VW dual port engine:
1) 90.5mm Mahle Pistons and Cylinders (thickwalled cylinders)
2) 78.0mm stroked crankshaft. Fully welded counterweights. Drilled for 8 flywheel dowel pins and heavy duty Gene Berg forged flywheel gland nut.
3) Large diameter Chrome-moly pushrod tubes. "Wide base lifters" solid lifters.
4) 305 degree duration cam with stock ratio rockers. Elephant feet valve adjusters.
5) Gene Berg shimmed rocker arm shafts (eliminates the springs between rocker arms for better rocker location)
6) Large dual port heads. Ported and Polished with 40mm Intake valve, 35.5mm Exhaust valve.
Racing dual valve springs.
7) Heavy duty oil pump (wider drive gears) with Berg Full Flow cover for remote oil filter. Tapped and plugged for improved oil bypass.
8) Berg 1.5 quart additional cast oil sump.

At the time I built this engine it had over $2200 in parts and machine work. It was always run with oil filtration via an O-Berg filter and religiously maintained.
It has a lumpy idle with the cam installed since there is so much duration, yet it will pull all the way to 7000rpm with the dual Webers that I ran with it.

If I left anything out let me know and I can give more details if you're interested.
I have all the receipts for the parts that were installed in a binder for the next owner.

Thanks,
Fred
