Umm...you ain't carrying a gun or gun parts in the cabin. Any guns must be sent through checked-baggage. That is turned in before you get to the security check-point, so not sure how it affects you as an individual come time to walk thru the checkpoint.

Personally I think 95% of the "new" security in place since '01 is a waste and BS....
