Legal question on broadcast rights and satire/comedy protections.
This came up in a conversation last night and I thought maybe some of our lawyers here might know/have opinions.
Lets take a college or pro football game. Could you perform and broadcast a humorous real time commentary or would this be a violation of content ownership rights? I know you can get away with a lot in the vein of satire, but.....
I'm not talking about actually broadcasting the game, just the audio of the comedic commentary.
