pwd, I just found it humorous. To be honest, the crest is for my son's Little Tikes blue toddler bed. I bought a sticker and the metal crest (I figured if I didn't use it on the bed, it would come in handy somewhere else or somehow). The sticker works great, so I'll hold onto the crest. I have a neighbor who is thinking of getting a 914 or 912 to *gasp* put a WRX engine into (don't worry, he's looking at some rough ones) and one the 912's we looked at was missing the crest.
My car will never be a concours event type car. Hell, I was super excited to find a 964 turbo with low miles, since that meant someone saved all the miles for me!
With regards to the image pwd, I know why you sold the S, and can agree with why you did it, but belive me, I don't think image had much to do with my desire to get back into a 911, had that been the case, I would have bought a 996, that would have a friendlier daily driver than my modded turbo.
