My ultimate Hawaii touring drive would be the Big Island

* Land in Kona and have a 911 waiting to be driven
* Drive from Kona west along the coast to the road that goes up to Parker Ranch (no stoplights for 60+ miles)
* Prior to driving in to Parker Ranch, take a detour North/West up to the town of Kohala (12 miles - twisties and panoramic views climbing up the mountain to Kohala) . . . NO stoplights until you reach town. Take a short break and have some fresh roasted Kona Coffee and enjoy the ocean views.
* Fire up the engine and drive back down and then take the main road up to Parker Ranch/Kamuela for a great steak dinner, wine and local entertainment.
* Next morning fire up the 911 and drive along the Hamakua Coast enroute to Hilo and the Volcano (70 miles).

And the tour continues . . . . ALOHA!
