LOL. In college we used to joke that of the realm of automotive manufacturers, VWs were built like the Snap-Tite plastic models we had as kids. Nothing seriously fatal ever seemed to go wrong, if you were somewhat mechanically-inclined. But it certainly helped to be mechanically-inclined to keep them running.
