Without knowing what type of device this is, or who may have installed it. You might be able to figure it out on your own.
Starting with the 'immobilizer key' slot, the back of the unit should have a ribbon cable attached. Follow the ribbon cable to a box, this box(immobilizer control unit) will have larger wires coming out of it. These wires will end up going to the ignition harness. At the ignition harness you will have at least one wire that is cut, and spliced into the wires going back to the immobilizer box. If you simply remove all the immobilizer wiring, and re-attach the cut wire(s), you will end up permanently bypassing the immobilizer, and put the car back to factory wiring.
It is possible that the immobilizer control unit wiring is going to the passenger footwell, as that is where the factory alarm is/was.
