Me: My family and friends.
I haven't been on here much in the last three weeks. From the 5-13 of November I was in the hospital. I have Crohn's disease and had a hole open up in my bowels creating an abscess. Absolute pain. Even now that I am home I can't eat food. Get my nutrition from a line in my vein.
So why am I thankful?
For my wife, who almost faints at the sight of blood, would spend hours in my hospital room just to be with me.
For my daughter. Who went to school and told her teacher her daddy was sick and in the hospital. For art class, her teacher had everyone draw me a get well card.
For my friend Greg who knows every year my family goes to Eureka Springs, AR for Thanksgiving. He knew we couldn't go and that I couldn't eat. My wife decided to show "solidarity" and not take my daughter to dinner for TG knowing I would be home alone. Greg graciously invited us over to be at his house for Thanksgiving. A true friend.
Oh and the doctors say I can have jello for Thanksgiving. Not much, but for a guy that hasn't tasted and food or liquids other than water in 3 weeks, it seems like a feast.
