But trying to be completely objective, I don't think Bush will ever be regarded as a great President. if anything, he will be noted for squandering the greatest opportunity for keeping the U.S. on top for the next century.
September 12 forward, Bush blew it. With the entire world, Iran included, behind us, he could have sent out an army of State Department diplomats and built an amazing coalition united in strength around the world. Instead he went against the entire world, blew the Treasury, and has diplomatically and economically crippled our country.
that's what he will be remembered for.

You could certainly be right, so time will tell.
The lens of history will see the "now" in ways that are difficult for us to presently understand.
