"We're making very good money in the U.S.'' even as the dollar may decline to as low as $1.60 a euro, Haerter said. Porsche has prepared for a possible recession in the U.S. by reducing its supply of cars in the country.
"Porsche is independent of the cycle within the U.S. market,'' said Arndt Ellinghorst, an analyst at Credit Suisse in London. "Our research shows no relation between Porsche's sales growth in the U.S. and the rest of the market.''
