len...Some of the questions may really be set-ups, but I thought the question about the Bible to be very interesting. There are legions of Evangilists and Fundamentalists who tend toward the Republican POV and they DO believe hat every word in that Book is divinely inspired and is the absolute truth. These people want to be assured that their candidate believes as they do. I see nothing wrong with theircommittment to ther beliefs, but I do question its relevance to politics.

The Confederate flag is very important to many in the South. My son-in-law is a Republican and has the flag displayed in his office (He is in business for himself). Therefore there is a relevance to many re: this icon of the South. It is the PC that has said this is somehow insulting to a certain segment of the public. Strangely, many things are an insult to some segment of society. When do we stop being so whiny and just accept each others differences?

What questions would you and other Republicans want to be answered? What do you want in a candidate? Which stands are the most important? Do any of the candidates live up to the expectations of the basic Republican? How can any single candidate meet all the requirements of such a diverse group?
